CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS- EXHIBITION
FASA and FASAMOB are seeking artworks that encompass themes of anti-austerity, protest, and community for the upcoming Carré Rouge exhibition at Concordia’s very own VAV Gallery.
What is FASAMOB? FASAMOB is Concordia’s Fine Arts Mobilization Collective, created in 2023 in response to the Quebec Government’s proposed tuition hikes. Our goal is to use art, activism, and the principles of solidarity to unify the Fine Arts student body against the austerity measures that threaten future students, current students, instructors, Fine Arts programming, and Fine Arts fee levy groups.
The exhibition is a space for artists to engage in activism, but works submitted do not necessarily have to be tuition-strike related. We welcome submissions in different forms such as zines, posters, audio-visual explorations, paintings, web-art, sound art, poetry, and performances.
All selected candidates will receive an honorarium for their participation. Callout open to all Concordia students.
